Psa 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
God is Pro-Life. When we put our trust in Him He will go before us and protect us. He feeds us in the presence of our enemies showing that He gives us peace and nourishment. And that we trust God our supply will always be there.
We must not be like the Israelites and tempt God through our miss trust
Psa 78:17 And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness.
Psa 78:18 And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust.
Psa 78:19 Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?
Psa 78:20 Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?
Deu 6:16 Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
Although physical bread is there to feed the body we also need spiritual bread to feed the soul and spirit
Deu 8:1 All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.
Deu 8:2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
Deu 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
Deu 8:4 Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.
Deu 8:5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
Deu 8:6 Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
Jesus quoted fromDuet 8:3 to Satan when He was tempted in the wilderness.
Mat 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
WE Know that as well as the spiritual bread gives life it also gives eternal life for Gods words will never pass away.
Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
When Moses was given the instructions t make the tabernacle(gods home on earth) part of that instruction was t build a table, made of acacia wood (Thorn tree, which represents man with his thorny character) and covered in gold (representing the righteousness of God).
On this table there was to be placed special bread on the Sabbath which would eventually be for the priests to eat, twelve loaves, one for each tribe. This was to be done as a memorial of the covenant that God had with the Israelites and that He was the giver of life.
Exo 25:23 Thou shalt also make a table of shittim wood: two cubits shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

Lev 24:5 And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in one cake.
Lev 24:6 And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before the LORD.
Lev 24:7 And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
Lev 24:8 Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.
Lev 24:9 And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.
Today we see Jesus as the bread of life.
Joh 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
Joh 6:49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
Joh 6:50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
Joh 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Jesus was refined as fine flour by man :
By Pontius Pilate
Luk 23:4 Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.
By Pilates wife
Mat 27:19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
Mat 27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
By the malefactor on the cross with Him
Luk 23:41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
By the centurion
Luk 23:47 Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.
Mat 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
Heb 7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
Jesus was refined by man and baked on the cross as a memorial of the new covenant that God made with man.
When we take communion as we eat the bread and drink the wine we are remembering Jesus death and that He rose again in the newness of life.
